This soup is deeply satisfying with all its textures and complex flavors. Thanks to the addition of red lentils, rice, apples, cabbage, chick peas and potatoes, this soup is one of our thickest and serves as a substantial meal. (We chose not to puree as many Mullis are!) It sure to be a crowd pleaser!

For the meat lover: of course, the original mulligatawny is with chicken. You can`t miss by adding it but be warned, it will be too thick, add some broth!
